EVENT
The event format is an 18 hole, four person scramble followed by a casual dinner, prizes, raffle and silent auction.  We have a few different raffles this year which I'm sure will be exciting for all our guests.

This year we are partnering with the Lukitsch family whose son Mark unexpectedly passed away 2 years ago at the age of 19. Mark is the son of our very good friends Dan and Lisa and also Cheryl’s godson.  As many of you know, 'TEAM' is an acronym of values or traits Kaleigh shared with all of us; Take a stand, Embrace life, Accept diversity, and Make a difference.  This year we are choosing ‘Make a Difference’ as our theme and will be raising funds for Can Do Canines in addition to the Team Kaleigh Foundation.

Can Do Canines is an amazing local organization which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with specially trained dogs.  Mark’s assistance dog and best friend Avery was from Can Do Canines and helped him greatly as he had Muscular Dystrophy and used a power wheelchair for mobility.  Many of you may have met him at previous Team Kaleigh events.  Please click on the link to check them out can-do-canines.org

Mark's Story
Mark Lukitsch was an amazing person!  Mark was born with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy.   He spent the first 37 days of his life in the NICU and got his first wheelchair at age 3.  Even though Mark had to deal with obstacles in his life, he was incredibly positive.  In school, he was a good student who got involved in activities.  He was in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, played percussion in band, was the team manager for football in middle school and girl’s basketball in high school.  Mark was on the sound crew for plays at middle school and played on a power wheelchair floor hockey team.  Mark loved playing video games, going to movies, watching sports and hanging out with his friends.  His favorite sports teams were the Packers, the Wild and the Twins. Mark was an amazing listener and friend.  He could always make people laugh and had great one-liners.  He always brought out the best qualities in people he met.  Mark graduated from Park High School and went to Augsburg college to major in Communications. Mark was doing an amazing job as a student and made the Dean’s list.  He was also living on campus independently with the help of his friends and his assistance dog, Avery.  Mark was an amazing brother to his sister Megan and such a great son!  Mark had an appointment to get a tattoo just a few weeks before his unexpected death of the Muscular Dystrophy ribbon with the word “unstoppable” embedded in it.  That was how Mark lived and how our love for him will always be –unstoppable.
